Centennial Roofing is seeking a skilled and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of documented experience in bidding commercial roofing installations within the state of Florida.
This position plays a crucial role in our company's growth and success, contributing to marketing efforts, engaging with property managers and general managers, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the estimation process.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough assessments of roofing projects by reviewing architectural plans, specifications, and site conditions.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather essential information for accurate estimates.
* Utilize industry knowledge and experience to estimate the costs associated with materials, labor, equipment, and other resources required for roofing projects.
* Prepare detailed and itemized cost estimates, considering factors such as project scope, complexity, and any unique requirements.
* Participate in the bidding process by preparing competitive proposals and submitting them to potential clients or general contractors.
* Review and analyze bid documents, ensuring compliance with project requirements and specifications.
* Engage with property managers, general managers, and potential clients to understand their needs and communicate Centennial Roofing's capabilities effectively.
* Contribute to sales and marketing efforts by building relationships, attending industry events, and promoting the company's roofing services.
* Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in roofing systems, including commercial metal, single-ply commercial roofing, and modified roofing systems.
* Apply expertise to recommend suitable roofing solutions based on project requirements and client preferences.
* Communicate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure a clear understanding of project requirements and expectations.
* Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to address any challenges or changes during the estimation process.
* Assist in developing project budgets and timelines based on the estimated costs and resources required.
* Work collaboratively with project managers to ensure that estimates align with the overall project budget and financial goals.
Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years of documented experience in bidding commercial roofing installations in the state of Florida.
* Sales experience and strong interpersonal skills for effective client engagement.
* Familiarity with commercial metal, single-ply commercial roofing systems, and modified roofing systems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, AutoCAD, computerized take-off, and Stich software.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
