The Assistant Store Manager will work with the store manager to support employees,
customers and to achieve a profitable store location.
The Assistant Store Manager will be
responsible for the day to day running of the store including stock control, overheads, staff,
gross profit and reporting alongside and in the absence of the Store Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Organizes and oversees the work and schedules
Ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies
Ensure store standards are consistently improved in terms of housekeeping, merchandising, presentation and service
Hold regular communication meetings with manager and staff to ensure all plans are carried out.
Addresses customer needs and resolves issues, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships
Ensures inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks
Ensures that the store always looks clean and inviting.
Support the Store Manager to achieve Gross Profit Margin, Net Margin and Sales Targets
Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate staff
Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
Flexible and open schedule
Education and Experience:
High School/GED required
Customer service experience required
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing for long periods of time
Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds at times
